It’s Never Too Late to Start
No matter your age, you can learn to sing. I also offer specialized coaching for women experiencing vocal changes during menopause.

Lesson Details:
- Online and In person Lessons: $60/hour
- Tech Needed: Computer/tablet/smartphone, Zoom, earbuds or USB mic with headphones for online lessons.

Tamara Lea Music Studio Lesson Policies 2025
Policy #1: Teaching Schedule
* All online lessons will commence on time with Tamara via Zoom, with a link provided.
* Please arrive at Tamara Lea Music Studio a few minutes prior to the in-studio lesson start time.
* If attending an online lesson, a student who does not appear within the first 15 minutes , the lesson will be considered taught, and Tamara will no longer be available online.
* If arriving within the 15-minute period to a lesson, the student will be taught the remainder of the scheduled lesson time (e.g., 10 minutes late for a 50-minute lesson).
* If attending an in-studio lesson, arriving 15 minutes late will be considered a missed lesson.
* If you notify Tamara in advance of a late arrival, you will be taught the remainder of the scheduled lesson time.
Policy #2: Payments
* Lesson costs are $60 for 60 minutes.
* Payments are made via e-transfer to tamara.palmtree@gmail.com.
* Invoices will be sent before the first of each month and must be paid in full by the first day of each billing month by midnight.
* If payment is late, a late payment fee of $25 will be added to the next invoice.
* No refunds are permitted on lessons.
Policy #3: Missed Lessons, Cancellations, and Make-up Lessons
* Missed lessons are considered taught.
* A 24-hour advance notice is required to cancel a lesson. There will be no make-up lessons.
* If you are going to miss or cancel a lesson, please text/call 250-713-1812 or email to tamara.palmtree@gmail.com.
* Please indicate prior to the next lesson month if you will not be able to attend a lesson scheduled in that month.
* No time changes are permitted on lessons that are scheduled weekly,
* If you purchase a group of lessons, those lessons can be scheduled separately.
Policy #4: Sickness
*If you are unwell, please do not attend your in-studio lesson,Contact Tamara .
*There are no make-up lessons for missed lessons due to illness.
*You may attend your lesson online.
* If the Tamara Lea Music Studio is closed due to illness, you will receive a call or text and the lesson will be made up at the end of the term. Alternatively, time will be added to future lessons if time permits.

That's where I come in. I specialize in mentoring young, up-and-coming musicians, helping them grasp the intricacies of their chosen instrument, read sheet music, understand key signatures, master rhythms, and unravel the language of musical definitions.
But it doesn't stop there. I also teach the essential skill of assembling their instrument correctly and producing beautiful sounds. This skill is the key to ensuring their lasting membership in the esteemed 'band geek' club!
The school band journey is filled with remarkable opportunities and cherished memories. My own musical journey began in a public school band program, ultimately leading me to study classical and jazz music at Vancouver Island University.
